Yellow on light grey...

Hi,

today I had to fill out a form for a vacation day, that I want to take this week. Filling out the form with a tool that is integrated within Microsoft Outlook I saw the following:

Form with funny color setting for statu field

So, this is a form (ok it is in German, but that's not the point) to be filled out. The funny thing is that there is a Status field on the right showing the active status of the form in yellow on a light grey background. Basically you can't really read what the status says using this color setting. By the way this tool is used by company with +10.000 employees :)

this is the start of my blog where I will unveal some of the usability & design tops and flops that I see in my daily work. Never mind any spell error in this blog. I am a navtive German speaker and English is my third language after Swedish :) OK, so let's have some fun and see what is out there.
